2110 Solutions Brings Bridge Technologies’ Latest IP Monitoring Innovations to NAB NY

Software-defined VB440 deployment, award-winning IPMX integration, expanded codec support, Grass Valley AMPP interoperability, advanced synchronization and audio analysis take center stage at booth #744.

Bridge Technologies Audio Display

What happens when broadcast monitoring is no longer tied to dedicated hardware, when the same production probe can serve a television control room, a sports stadium or a corporate media facility, and when advanced video and audio analysis becomes an integral part of a software-defined production environment?

These are no longer questions about the future. They reflect the innovations Bridge Technologies is bringing to NAB Show New York, including the software-defined VB440, its involvement in the NEP Platform, award-winning IPMX integration, support for Apple ProRes and Blackmagic Design IP10, and containerised audio and video scopes within the Grass Valley AMPP ecosystem. Further enhancements to Multi-Service AV Sync, Canvas audio monitoring and full AC-4 decoding and analysis demonstrate how comprehensive monitoring continues to evolve alongside increasingly complex production workflows.

For 2110 Solutions, these developments represent more than an expanding technology portfolio. They address the practical challenges we encounter as we help North American broadcasters, production companies and systems integrators build flexible, interconnected media infrastructures.

Following a successful IBC 2026, where our collaboration with Bridge Technologies was recognised with a Business Partner Award, we look forward to exploring these innovations with customers and industry colleagues at NAB Show New York, booth #744.

Software-defined monitoring without compromising performance

One of the most significant developments is the introduction of the software-defined VB440, bringing the production probe’s comprehensive monitoring and analysis capabilities to commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) computing environments.

While dedicated hardware appliances remain essential in many broadcast facilities, software-defined deployment introduces greater flexibility in system architecture and resource allocation. The VB440 can now operate on shared computing infrastructure, supporting distributed production, remote workflows and cloud-native orchestration without sacrificing its established monitoring functionality.

Bridge Technologies’ involvement in the NEP Platform further illustrates how specialist monitoring technologies can contribute to integrated production ecosystems. Particularly in demanding live sports environments, where reliability, processing density and operational flexibility are essential, this approach enables more adaptable infrastructures while maintaining the visibility engineers require.

For our customers, the significance lies in having the freedom to choose how monitoring is deployed and integrated into their production environments.

IPMX brings broadcast and ProAV closer together

The award-winning VB440’s IPMX integration reflects a shift we have been discussing for some time: the convergence of broadcast and ProAV.

Sports venues increasingly operate sophisticated broadcast facilities, corporate organisations produce professional-quality live content, and broadcasters incorporate technologies traditionally associated with AV installations.

IPMX provides a practical framework for this convergence, extending established IP media technologies to accommodate professional audiovisual requirements.

With the ability to monitor and generate IPMX flows alongside its comprehensive ST 2110 production monitoring capabilities, the VB440 is equally at home in a broadcast control room, a sports stadium or a corporate boardroom.

Its IPMX certification reinforces Bridge Technologies’ commitment to interoperability, allowing engineers and systems integrators to work across different production environments using a consistent monitoring platform.

Expanded codec support for evolving IP workflows

As production infrastructures increasingly combine compressed and uncompressed video, monitoring tools must accommodate a broader range of formats and transport technologies.

The VB440’s support for Apple ProRes over ST 2110-22 extends its capabilities into high-quality compressed production workflows, while compatibility with Blackmagic Design IP10 provides additional options for efficient IP video transport.

These developments are particularly relevant to live sports production, where picture quality, latency, bandwidth efficiency and operational reliability must coexist.

Rather than introducing separate monitoring systems for different formats, engineers can rely on a unified platform to assess signal performance across increasingly diverse production configurations.

Grass Valley AMPP and integrated production monitoring

Another significant development is Bridge Technologies’ participation in the Grass Valley AMPP ecosystem through the Media eXchange Layer (MXL) initiative.

By containerising its video and audio scopes, Bridge Technologies has made these specialist analysis tools accessible within MXL-native environments such as Grass Valley’s AMPP OS.

This represents an important evolution in production monitoring. Rather than treating signal analysis as a separate function performed by dedicated equipment, engineers can access intuitive monitoring tools directly within software-defined production environments.

For facilities adopting cloud-native architectures, this approach supports flexible deployment, efficient resource utilisation and interoperability between technologies from different manufacturers.

It also reinforces a principle central to our work at 2110 Solutions: successful IP production depends not simply on connecting devices, but on ensuring that the entire infrastructure can be understood, managed and monitored effectively.

Multi-Service AVA Sync across independent delivery paths

Maintaining accurate synchronisation across multiple delivery paths remains a significant challenge in modern media distribution.

Bridge Technologies’ Multi-Service AVA Sync feature addresses this requirement through sample-level accurate synchronisation assessment within the VB440 production probe. Engineers can compare audio, video and ancillary data across independent delivery paths carrying the same service, including satellite, SRT and IP, through a single browser-based interface.

Consider a live sports event distributed simultaneously over satellite and IP networks. Differences in processing, encoding and transport can introduce timing variations that become critical when switching between paths or maintaining redundant services.

Multi-Service AVA Sync enables engineers to identify these differences, verify alignment and troubleshoot synchronisation issues without relying on multiple disconnected measurement tools.

For organisations managing complex contribution and distribution networks, this translates into greater operational confidence and more efficient troubleshooting.

Advanced audio monitoring and AC-4 analysis

Audio remains equally critical to production quality, particularly as broadcasters adopt increasingly sophisticated multichannel and immersive formats.

Bridge Technologies continues to expand its audio monitoring capabilities through enhancements to its Canvas audio environment and full AC-4 decoding and analysis.

The Canvas enhancements build on the platform’s comprehensive audio visualisation capabilities, helping engineers assess complex signal configurations through intuitive, browser-based tools.

Full AC-4 decoding and analysis extends the range of supported audio technologies, providing deeper visibility into services using this advanced format.

Combined with the VB440’s established video and IP monitoring capabilities, these developments support a more integrated approach to quality assurance across production and distribution workflows.

From innovation to operational value

What connects these developments is a common objective: making increasingly complex production environments easier to monitor, understand and manage.

Software-defined deployment introduces architectural flexibility. IPMX expands interoperability between broadcast and ProAV. Additional codec support accommodates evolving production formats. MXL integration brings monitoring into software-based ecosystems, while Multi-Service AV Sync and advanced audio analysis provide greater precision across complex delivery workflows.

At 2110 Solutions, our focus is on translating these capabilities into practical solutions for North American customers. Our experience across ST 2110 infrastructures, IP production and systems integration has shown that successful technology adoption requires more than impressive specifications. It requires an understanding of how different technologies interact and how engineers can maintain confidence in increasingly interconnected systems.

The Business Partner Award presented to 2110 Solutions at IBC 2026 recognises this collaboration with Bridge Technologies and the successful projects we have undertaken together.

Let’s continue the conversation at NAB Show New York

Whether you are considering a transition to ST 2110, evaluating software-defined production, integrating IPMX or looking for comprehensive monitoring across compressed and uncompressed workflows, we would welcome the opportunity to exchange ideas.

Joe LoGrasso will be representing Bridge Technologies at the 2110 Solutions booth #744, discussing the latest enhancements to the VB440 and the wider Bridge Technologies monitoring portfolio.

We look forward to reconnecting with customers, technology partners and industry colleagues to explore how these innovations can support the next generation of live production and media distribution.

See you at NAB Show New York!
